Bells Mountain Retreat,
Summer 2025
We gathered together on Labor Day weekend to explore the intersections of silence and singing, meditation and music, community and creativity.
Seventeen of us sat and sang together, along with the trees, rabbits, vultures, horses, mosquitoes, a playful dog, and a sly fox.
Below are pictures and testimonials from our weekend….

“Silence Singing is a deeply playful space for artists and meditators to realize that we're all singing in the same glorious silence. It's medicine for creatives wanting to dip into deeper presence, meditators to play, and for all humans to connect and be who they are.” — Dr. Kent Drever, Participant
“This retreat was a beautiful experience. I felt so much love, care, and intention in the way it was held…
The blend of silence, song, and meditation, the small, intimate group size, the simple nourishing food, and the generosity of spirit from all who gathered contributed to a unique and deep heartfelt retreat.” —Kelsey, Participant
“I came to the Silence Singing retreat hoping for a deepening of my meditation and musical practices, but what I'm leaving with is actually a profound shift in my entire way of being. I now find myself truly listening so much more to what life is offering me in each unique moment. This shift was supported by the heartfelt space that was created by Thomas, Satya, and all the participants during the retreat that was intimate, sincere, open and playful. I felt the presence of a deep love and reverence for soulful practice as well as an open-hearted acceptance of everyone exactly as they are that allowed for meaningful healing and creativity to unfold. I'm left with a feeling of deepest gratitude for my time at Silence Singing and a desire for others who are cultivating more authenticity in their lives to get to experience this offering.” — Blake H
“I came, I sat, I sang, I cried.” — Robin
“A real alchemy took place for me on the retreat: I entered the space with a reflexive approach of compulsively trying to connect through conversation. Then Thomas and Satya gave us the permission to sink below the surface of the pool, the space where sounds muffled and your heart beats louder, and you tune in to your instincts and soul. My breathing slowed. I let myself off the hook. And the transformation began. They led the time with tenderness and challenge in equal measure, guiding a time of growth for me that I’ll carry forward with gratitude for a long time to come.” —AMJ
